SURGE is a 3-year program co-funded by the European Union's "Innovation for Enterprise Growth and Jobs" program and implemented by a consortium led by Endeavor Jordan and includes Oasis500 & Beyond Capital. As a consortium member, Beyond Capital is supporting SURGE in hosting ‘Empowering a New Wave of Angel Investors’ as they have an existing angel network that supports individuals with their investment journey.
BCAN - Beyond Capital Angel Network
Beyond Capital Angel Network (BCAN) was established in January 2020 as an initiative to catalyze the growth of the Jordanian startup ecosystem and expand investment pools and co-investment syndicates. Since its establishment, BCAN worked on growing early-stage investment activities in entrepreneurial knowledge-based startups, increasing the flow of capital and widening the investment pool by joining forces with new expertise, and building the capacity of angel investors.
The network is built on principles of sharing knowledge, expertise, and meaningful connections, in which it considers angels as catalysts for growth. Not only do they fill in a funding gap, but they also invest their time in providing their support in the most critical stage of a startup’s journey.
Jordan Angel Seminar
Empowering a New Wave of Angel Investors is a two-day event that fosters intimate and earnest engagement between current and potential angel Investors, including entrepreneurs, sector experts and other partners in the entrepreneurial ecosystem as well as a peer mindset of learning and collaboration. Its mission is to catalyze collaboration, learning, co-investments across BCAN members and individuals that aspire to become angel Investors, in order to support them and expand diversity of opportunities. The seminar will be a set of training sessions, interactive panel discussions, networking and speed pitching.
Participants
Investors: The seminar is accessible to any aspiring and existing angel investors who register to attend. All angel investors wishing to participate will attend free of charge.
